Today’s soundtrack selection goes to:

The Ecstasy of Gold” – Ennio Morricone

Film: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

It’s a track that has re-defined how we view a Western thanks to Ennio Morricone.  His work with director Sergio Leone added a new dimension to compliment Leone’s use of close-ups, harsh violence and black comedy.  Because of this influence, it began to popularise the genre and The Ecstasy of Gold is a true gem fulfilled by its soul-stirring conclusion.
