The big day is fast approaching – the 89th Academy Awards is taking place this Sunday in what promises to be a tightly contested battle in all the major categories.

To have some fun, I thought I would have a go at predicting the winners on who I think will win.  Some are straightforward, others are unexpected, perhaps wishful thinking.  It can go either way.
