So here’s my answers to his questions:

Is there a movie that you like but most other people dislike? If so, which movie is it?

Yes.  Prometheus, Ghostbusters 2 and Batman v Superman.

Favourite movie of 1997?

Hard one.  Going to cheat – Men in Black and Jackie Brown.

What’s the best Christmas present you have ever received?

Socks…I’m just kidding!  Getting an iPod classic.  Didn’t expect it and was a total surprise.  500 songs at my fingertips (which I never filled up!)

Coffee or tea?

Tea

Is there a song that always gets you emotional?

“Fix You” by Coldplay

Favourite colour?

Blue

Favourite space movie that is not in any way part of the “Star Wars” mythos?

Alien

If you could bring back any dead celebrity for a chat (or something), who would it be?

Robin Williams

What do you do to relax?

Read a book.  Currently reading I Am Pilgrim. (Also recommend reading The Martian and American Gods)

You’re stuck on a deserted island, what 4 movies have you brought with you to bide your time?

  • Duck Soup (The Marx Brothers)
  • Raiders of the Lost Ark
  • Black Dynamite
  • The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (I view them as one)

    What’s your favourite 80s film? Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
    Who’s your favourite film director? Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams
    If you could invite up to four celebrities for dinner, who would it be? Robert Downey Jr., Simon Pegg, Chris Pratt and Maggie Smith
    Who’s your favourite actor to play Batman out of: Christian Bale
    Sonic the Hedgehog or Mario? Sonic
    If there was a prop/item from a movie you wish you could own, what would it be? a lightsaber used in the filming of Star Wars
    What was the last film you watched you fell asleep through? I feel really bad about this one–Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I really love this movie, was just super tired and dozed off.
    If you could guest star in any TV series, what would it be? Doctor Who
    What’s your favourite hobby besides blogging? reading
    Dream holiday destination? Scotland
    If you could change one thing about the Oscars, what would it be? Shorten the TV ceremony–it’s really long!

      Great choices! Scotland is amazing. You should definitely make the trip. I would definitely have the lightsaber from Star Wars and probably Han Solo’s blaster gun.

      LOL you fell asleep through Lincoln? That’s a good movie. I think Judi Dench would make an excellent dinner guest. Great choice.

        When I watched Lincoln, I wasn’t feeling too well which probably explained me falling asleep. If I was to watch it again, I’m certain I’d find it amazing.

    Congrats on your award! Totally would have loved more Sarah Conor Chronicles, …every now and again I think about that cliffhanger and what could have been.

      That show was unfairly cancelled. Definitely underrated. They were 10x better than the last three Terminator films that have come out. It might be unlikely but I hope it comes back one day, even if its a TV movie to resolve it, I think it deserves that based on that cliffhanger. The show was heading in a very interesting direction.

    Pick more diverse members of Academy that would have equally diverse choices in regards to the films, and try and end the excessive awards campaigning that takes place every year before the awards.
