Well here it is – the trailer for Marvel’s latest and riskiest film since they started out with the first Iron Man movie. I have to say, despite being unfamiliar with Guardians of the Galaxy…I’m definitely interested in seeing this. I love the style of the teaser trailer – it’s like The Usual Suspects (minus Keyser Soze) meets Firefly with a touch of Star Wars and it lives up to Marvel’s sense of good fun story-telling.

Come Along Pond! Wow – what did the Weeping Angels do to Karen Gillan?! From Doctor Who to a blockbuster film, she looks like she took badass up to another level!
Is this the same Chris Pratt from Parks and Recreation? When did he become a stud muffin? LOL In the above image he’s doing his best Han Solo flying a spaceship impression. Going out on a limb here but judging from the trailer, everyone will know who Star-Lord is by the end of the movie!
Probably the biggest reason why I’m going to see this film – Rocket Raccoon. For a CG character, the level of detail looks amazing! Seriously people…it’s a gun-toting raccoon who can kick ass! What’s not to like?
As mentioned before, it is a risk. it’s certainly not a film that automatically leaps out like a new Iron Man, Thor or Captain America film. But after the success of those films alongside The Avengers, Marvel is carving out a decent movie universe and it will be interested to see how Guardians of the Galaxy fits in. Plus, it’s nice to see a trailer that doesn’t spoil the plot!
I’ll be keeping an eye out on this one.
